Matcha Chia Pudding
Creamy overnight chia pudding with matcha, vanilla and fresh fruit.
Cook it step by step
- 1
Before cooking, read every step, measure all listed ingredients and prepare the cookware named by the method. Wash and dry fresh produce, then prepare it to the size described before heating the pan.
- 2
Sift matcha into a bowl and whisk with a splash of warm milk. Mix only until the texture is even, scraping the base and sides of the bowl so no pockets of unmixed seasoning or dry ingredient remain.
- 3
Add remaining milk, yogurt, maple, vanilla and salt.
- 4
Stir in chia seeds and wait 10 minutes.
- 5
Whisk again to break up clumps and refrigerate overnight. Mix only until the texture is even, scraping the base and sides of the bowl so no pockets of unmixed seasoning or dry ingredient remain.
- 6
Top with berries and almonds just before serving.
- 7
Taste immediately before serving and adjust salt or acidity carefully. Serve at once, or cover and refrigerate promptly if the method specifically allows holding.
Make it work beautifully
- The second stir is essential for an even set.
- Use fresh culinary-grade matcha and keep it airtight away from light.
Matcha and make-ahead breakfasts remain widely shared.
